    Well, it's ebay! :)

There are people out there buying used underwear for more than the retail value. Negative depreciation, I'm tellin' ya :D

My car has every tax disc since it was first registered. 7 years worth. I suppose it could say it has a full tax history! :D

The seller is also flogging some reg plates.
Apparently, this one is 'rare' - surely given that each registration is unique, they are all rare?
Anyhow, judging from the sellers feedback, they are selling loads of tax discs and reg plates. Either they are a breaker or a thief!

I just don't get it. Why pay good money for tatty old plates that don't even carry interesting numbers and tax discs?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,269 ✭✭✭MercMad

Whatever about the expired tax discs, some folk may want them, I've seen "period" ones on old classics, but surely selling the plates is dodgey ??

I suppose some sap could hang them on his wall, not unlike the crap you see in wannabee American bars !!

Merc Mad got there before me!!! :D

Some Irish pubs, might want them as memorabilia - more the plates than the discs though

Actually the reg plates ARE a good idea.. remember you can get stickers and keyrings like this in carrolls so im sure tourists would like it... just like bars over here might have US reg plates pinned up, other countries might like ours... i have seen them in Bars in the US so there is a market.

Tax disks though? Cant see it.

Anyone missing a reg plate off their Primera?

How legal is it to sell a reg plate like that?Would the car have to no longer be on the road?

Wouldnt fancy finding the reg off my own car for sale on ebay
