Eircom router sync speed

Noticed something odd today. I am aware the speed it claims to be syncing at in 2048 (I have 2mb package). However, its been running sluggish. I do a speedtest and it shows up as 448kbps! Generally the speed displayed on the router homepage is always about 200kpbs higher than its actual speed. Anyone know whats up with it?

The network could be swamped. That's contention for you. What site did you use? Irish ISP Test, speedtest.net or something else?

What speed are you syncing at? what are your line stats? (on the main router page in the form xx/yy). There are a zillion things that could be giving your problems - have you checked for viruses etc etc?
