Beat the Eircom Line Rental Increase

If you only have a phone line for BB and make a small amount of calls , say €3-5 a month ( €6-10 per bill for calls inc VAT) , then save yourself the line rental increase (and more) by ringing eircom 1901 and asking to be put on the Vulnerable User Scheme .

Vulnerable by definition is that you make very few calls .

Thats a bit of a scummy idea since eircom will catch on and someone who is vulnerable will get turned down. What goes around comes around boyos.

Its been around for years , 4 to be precise.

The only criteria for vulnerable is low usage read the link bricks provided kmick .

The package is for the lowest quartile ( 25% ) of eircom customers who hardly make any calls and gets you a discount on your line rental and free calls thrown in .

All in all cheaper than ordinary line rental and you get free calls. No wonder eircom telesales do not contact their customers to offer it .
