This online tournament will be 100% prize-pool payout with two added tickets to the DM Copenhagen Mega Satellite, with flights and accommodation included

Tournament takes place on Wednesday August 8th at 8pm.
    Buy-in $20 + $2;
    Starting stack 2500
    Clock: 15 minutes

The DM Copenhagen is Denmark’s equivalent of the Irish Open. The only difference is that players can only qualify through satellites, which run from August to September into the DM Final. It is not possible to buy into this tournament which has a prize-pool of €577,000 and a maximum of 150 players.

The packages which are added to the prize-pool of this welcoming tournament will see two players fly over to play in one of the many satellites that are taking place (you can choose your own dates. The cost of entry into the satellite is €440 and with flights and accommodation added to the cash win, this tournament is well worth playing in.

    The DM Copenhagen satellite will have the following structure;

    Starting chips 10 000
    Clock: 30 min (25/50 starting)
Max: 130 players in each satellite. 1/10 moves on to final on the 7th and 8th of September.
    Buy in € 400+ 40

The tournament will be in the Mermaid lobby tomorrow I believe. I'm sure Anna will be on soon to confirm.

Hope everyone on here can play :)

    Hi all
Yes it will be in the lobby tomorow or tuesday depending on the sleeping people in gibraltar, i never sleep, they do!

    Get in now folks!

So we can run this and welcome two of you to copenhagen!

    cheers

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,771 ✭✭✭carfax

Sorry another piece of info.......This tournament isn't only open to IPO players as the title suggests......Its open to all Irish and UK players irregardless of whether or not you have signed up yet.

(Dom if you could edit - 'International Poker Open' players to 'All Irish and UK' players - that would be great, cheers mate)......

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

    Edited. Good luck with this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,771 ✭✭✭carfax

    Cheers Dom,

Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on this

The two trips that are being added to the prize-pool are worth about €1,000 each and if it gets good support we will probably add a few IPO tickets to it too.

Its for a buy-in of just over €15.

Hope the rest of the original post is clear in terms of what the DM Copenhagen is all about.

    Hi
tourney will be in multitablelobby later this evening, delayed due to people on holliday! ( why does people need time off ???!!!)

Part from the buy in to a sat at DM copenhagen there is $ 1000 per packet for travel and accomodation.

I got loads of questions from Irish players about Rakeback:

Yes we do reakback, 30% is Boss Medias cap on this.

Stephen have two different links to set this up with those players that prefere Rakeback instead of deposit bonus.

If there are players that know how much you normaly generate and would like to discuss rakeback further to see what we can do please contact me directley on : ac@mermaidpoker.com

gl in the tourney and make sure we get a minimum of 50 players in so we can run it!! would be shame to cancel it, its good value and a fligth to copenhagen is not that expensive, and accomodation can be find easily, when its time let me know i help out organizing it for you and met you at the airport.

    cheers
    Anna

    Hey all

The tourney is now set up in the multitable lobby just scroll down to 8th of august and you will see it.

TO clearyfie: Your buy in are not retained by us to cover the packet , your buy in to the tournament is divided as normal payout structure and the two packets to Copenhagen open is to first and second. (so each packet has a value of around 1600$)

    Get in and good luck!

    Anna

(The tournament will be cancled if there is less then 50 reg players and its nothing i can do about those settings, so you need to get 50 players on it)

I have absolutely 0 days holidays left to play with this year, so it'd be pointless me entering, but it looks like great value all the same.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 601 ✭✭✭C4Queen

Also boys and girls ( I KNOW there are girls in here ;-) i met some of you in cork on ladies freeroll and some of you played good poker)

Sooo boys and girls....the Copenhagen Open is a max of 150 entries and a pricepool of Euro 577 000 and one CAN NOT get in to it by buying in, one have to play one of these sats that we are giving away packets to.

So if you want to play fishey poker against for an example, Gus Hansen, well get in and get a packet.

    Anna

    lol... you big spender!!

Well, if you win the packet the 1000 $ will be added your account to use for accomodation and flights and if you choose not to go you got 1000$ to tilt aways or withdraw, and regarding the seat i make sure it gets sold.

So No worries mate, there are always soloutions, i never se problems only challanges.

But of course i want two of you lads or girls over here to party with, i need some Irish Craic over here to make things more standable!!!

Or do i have to get over to Ireland again?

Its bloo**y your turn to get over here ;-)

    cheers

Well, this is a big fight over here right now, cos the casino aranging it wants to hold 10 seats to "the famous ones" and arange a competition where the readers in the biggest pokermagazines shall wote on a list on who are having it, well.. its upseating alot of people so i am not sure they get away with it but i can say for a fact that somehow players like Gus will be there to play and i pretty much doubt he will have to plat sats ;-) marketing and demands u know.

This is the biggest live tourney at Denmark soil if looking away from EPT that isnt really danish.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,771 ✭✭✭carfax

Just want to remind everyone about this tournament (before the long weekend starts) next Wednesday Aug 8th.

Serious amount of money to be added for such a small buy-in - $20 - but it needs 50 players to go ahead....... 11 registered so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 601 ✭✭✭C4Queen

And i just want to add one more thing...... if when reg close there is 49 ppl reg... i cant do anything even if i definatley would want to, its in the system so it will be cancelled if not 50 and cant be changed and the reg money will go back to your accounts..... so lets get 50 so we can run it and see some danish power over here in Copenhagen....am sure we can arange some Mermiads`s to join us for the craic too....i know a few ;-)

I think you seriously need to read what i write to you, i ask you to NOT give people mixed signals on whats possible or not, its not possible to do inter account transfer on Mermiad - no. And not many sites do, only huge ones like stars and the like.

Trust me if it was i gladley help each and everyone out INSTA!

Bankwire takes 2-4 days depending on YOUR bank and from our side i can speed it up first in line. so use bankwire as i understand most people do got an bankaccount.

Or set up an Neteller or an moneybooker, or ask a m8 in northern ireland or UK to go out and buy you a paysafecard and text you the code.

I am terrible sorry we dont have laser
I am terrible sorry we dont have Ukash
I am terrible sorry Paysafecards are not sold in Ireland yet.
i am terrible sorry we dont have interaccount transfer.

but to be honest my dear..... dont even bring this up again with me if you do have an bankaccount and are just not keen on using it because i will simple never understand that.

I really hope all those who can deposit will play the tourney tomorow, and i know exactley how many of the irish accounts we got that have been able to deposite and its more then enough to make the tourney run so its really all up to you friends.

    kind regards
    Anna Colley

try not to take things personally Anna, its not worth it.

lads, this 20 euro game has two first prizes worth thousands, sign up now.

Anna, you should tell your bosses to include an option on the software that allows for only a 'my turn' sound, also the pop ups advertising other games are intrusive and costing me money. (again, this is not your fault, just a general observation)

i see solkjaer has signed up and a delightful fellow from Cork who calls himself 'masturb8r' marvellous, hope he wins and has to play by that name.

    30 Players in so far.

I've texted and emailed every player on our database.

I know a lot of players might plan to register when they are sure they are available to play (like ten minutes beforehand) but it might be close on the required 50.

Don't worry though we have a couple more promotions in mind for the IPO but would be a great start for the sponsors to get off to a good start.

48 And this is cancelled? You can't be serious.
If Mermaid is trying to break into the Irish market then I think this would be a great idea to go with the prize and you get 40+ happy Irish customers.
The powers that be, would, I think agree to this if asked.

fingers crossed guys . Sound like a nice trip.

i think she made it very clear in a previous post that the minimum number HAS to be 50 or this tourney will be automatically cancelled, and there is nothing she can do about it as it is completely out of her control. hopefully 10 more register before 8pm
