Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I use the 2 Megpackage for eircom with the wireless netopia router. I works ok most of the time but i have difficuly in joining any game hosted by a yankee. I have nver, never been able to find or joind a ranked game on COD3 - GOW gave me the same hassle also for ranked games for a while.

    What are your suggestions?

    P.S. I use the wireless adaptor.

    I've no experience with the Netopia but it's probably a NAT problem. When you do the Xbox live test how does it report the NAT? Strict? Moderate? It should be open. You need to forward ports 88 and 3074 in the router. Or try just setting the firewall to low.

    Firstly, I'd lose the wireless adaptor, if you can. I'd not worry about COD3 – it has the worst network coding of any 360 game.

    I had the Netopia Router and had the ports forward but games like PES I was getting kicked in about 3 in 10 games.
    Switched to a Netgear and wasnt kicked form pes since. Have to say brilliant
    Also have the Eircom 2MB

    PC wprld sell them and there is a big range I will get the model later and post I think around 100yoyo.
    Also I still have the same trouble with cod. but never with Gears altough I never play ranked matches.

    To be honest i think we should find out what connection the xbox centre is using and we can take from there.

    They probably have a leased line!

    I have a wireless netgear DG834G router with xbox connected by cable. Never any problems playing anyone anywhere.

    i have exactly the same problem and have the netopia router aswell and always have trouble joining games with more than 2 other people in them already
