Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Thrills - Chart Position

    Hey,

    Does anyone know how the Thrills latest single did in the IRish charts last week? On the offical chart website they dont seem to be up there (its number 40 in the UK charts)

    I can only presume that the Irish chart website hasnt been updated as there's no way they didnt get into the charts.

    One of the most under-appreciated bands around at the moment.

    Every one of their songs sounds the exact same, they have no variety whatsoever and their live performances are a disaster.

    I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't in the charts at all.

    high quality moroccan black - but thats beside the point!

    i think they're one of the best bands ever to come out of ireland - granted their songs always have a familiar feel - but they're always quality tunes.

    If those guys cant get into the charts then it doesnt bode well for the rest of Irish bands trying to break

    I saw them at Witness in 2003. I had to turn to the person next to me to ask if they were playing the same song over and over again. A truely horrible band who really shouldn't be allowed to record.

    I went to see what the fuss was about, knew a song or two from the radio. Their live show put me off them. Haven't gone back since.

    I don't normally go in for band bashing but saying that The Thrills are "one of the most under-appreciated bands around at the moment" is just nonsense.

    If anything they over appreciated and never off the radio and I really can't see the appeal at all. Conor Deasy's voice really grates on me. "Scooby dooby do do" Arghhh!!! Plus he can't sing live to save his life .

    And with the release of their second album they've proved that they are just a one trick pony spouting out the same bland pop thrash that they did on their first album.

    Fair enough, each to their own and all but I just don't get the appeal.
