    Hey Guys,

I am starting as an IT contractor (as some of ye know!)
And as part of my contract I have been asked to get Public Liability insurance.
Has anyone else done this and if so roughly how much did you pay?

I have been quoted between 300 to 400 for €2.5 Mill cover.

    Thanks

    Hi Mik,

That doesn't sound too bad - I paid 550 for my accounting practice / consultancy a couple of months back. I got one quote from Quinn Direct which was 200 dearer than Aon who I eventually went with...

I suppose the moral is to shop around a bit but 300 to 400 sounds ok. Just beware that there's normally an extra charge if you ask to spread the payment over a year.....

By the way, that quote for your tax, accounts, payroll etc still stands if you're still interested ;)

    Good luck with everything

    Joe

My marketing strategy is a lot more sophisticated than that of a desperate amature.

I can across http://www.bhpinsurance.ie/ via the Irish Software Association they offered big discounts last year when they launched a product aimed at IT companies.
