    Team:

    Cerny,
    Chimbonda,
    Stalteri,
    Kaboul,
    Gardner,
    Routledge,
    Jenas (capt),
    Huddlestone,
    Taarabt,
    Bent,
    Defoe

Subs: Robinson, Dawson, Rocha, Daniels, Maghoma, Zokora, Malbranque, O'Hara, Keane.

Sadly Tim Deadwood is commentating for Setanta, so might just turn the sound off. Pitch looks good, here's hoping the officials are a bit better than Saturday.

Fantastic finish from Bent from edge of box to lob Pirates keeper.

    1-0 Spurs.

Great counter attack, Steed plays ball across box for Routledge to control and slot home.

Peno to Pirates now...saved!!! Cerny's had a great game so far.

    Bastard, ref orders re-take.

I thought that Cerny was brilliant tonight. Also thought tonight's team (was it a kind of second team?) played better than the team that beat Kaiser Chiefs last Saturday.

Only Chimbonda and Jenas could be described as guaranteed first XI.

must say darren bent is looking good he is so fast playing off the shoulder of the last defender will really expose certain defences this season. We have so many amazing options up front now it really is mouth watering.

i think our attacking options are going to cause a few issues this season ... they are all looking pretty sharp and we can play any permeatation of the 4 ... great position to be in .... still a little worried about the usual positions though ... LW

Don't know about every permutation of the 4. Keane + Defoe never works.
