Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi there - can anyone recommend a good night cream...........?? Do I need to use an eye cream at night if i'm using a good night moisturiser...??

During the day I use a vitamin E moisturiser but am thinking I should go for one that has an SPF... I need one that isn't too heavy and soaks in quick enough for me to be able to put on foundation farily soon....

I'd get a L'oreal one. I used to work in the cosmetic industry and a girl quite high up in L'ancome (who make L'oreal) says a lot of the creams are basically the same as L'ancome.... and the L'ancome ones are 4 times the price! You can get three L'oreal moisturisers for €24 in Dublin Airport. I use L'oreal day and night cream. The day one has the SPF which I need. My skin is quite dry so I like the texture. When I use eye cream (I can be lazy) I use La Praire eye gel (it's v expensive, €129, but very good,). That's more for dark circles... as i get older I'll use an eye cream for wrinkles.

It really depends what age you are though. You don't need to use eye cream until you're in your thirties - at least that's what a beautician told me. Definitely don't use anything meant for older skin on younger skin.

A decent eye cream is definitely a must have though.

You shouldn't use the same moisturiser on your face and eyes. The skin is more delicate around the eye area and therefore needs a lighter cream.
The body shop vitamin e moisturiser (night) is good, although it really depends on your skin type.
I use two eye creams, a gel one for the morning and a cream for the night.
As for SPF, I'd recommend either getting a foundation with an spf or getting a sunscreen for your face. Bliss do a great one that isn't greasy at all and allows you to put foundation over it. It's called sunban.

I'm in my mid thirties (yikes - how did that happen??) I think I'll try the L'Oreal products. I have their eye cream so just need to get back into the habit of using it........

Is the L'Oreal day cream light??? I don't like using a heavy moisturiser during the day.....

I think the l'oreal moisturiser is light enough. I'm not a big fan of putting heavy stuff on my face because it clogs my pores. I have no problems with the cream I use, it's no problem putting make-up on after it anyway.
