Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If there are (I doubt it) they are likely to get them via Bianchi UK. You could email them asking if there are any ROI outlets: http://www.bianchi.com/uk/contacts/contacts.aspx

If you are prepared to travel there is a dealer in Belfast.

I've seen Bianchi road bikes in Cycleogical from time to time. Evans (and others) sell them online. Looking for anything in particular?

Thanks for the info on Evans guys - but for once I want to go into a shop and sit on the bike - last two bikes i bought on the net were the wrong size despite being convinced by the shop owners they were perfect for me.

I'm not saying I wont buy over the web - but only once I am sure of the exact bike and size I want.

I am very keen on the look of Via Nirone Xenon or Veloce (depending on what deal I get).

I think I saw a few Bianchi Frames in Cycleogical on bachelors walk. Why do you specifically want a bianchi? They are very expensive and unless (a) you have more money than sense or (b) have seen a particular model you love for aesthetical reason, you must be mad!

Are they expensive for what they are or just expensive if you get me ?

I think that all those continental frames are expensive relative to the mass produced stock bikes. I don't mean to say that Bianchi aren't beautiful bikes, and performance wise there is nothing wrong with them, in fact they are probably very good. What I mean is, I would rather buy a nice BH or Trek or Giant and spend the extra cash on a pair of wheels such as Carbon COsmics or Zipps which will boost your performance no end. A BH/Trek/Giant with Ultegra groupset will set you back between €1500 - €3000. A Bianchi Frame alone might cost that.

I just sold a BH last night and was about to replace it with a better fit BH or just go for a Specialized which I can try locally and ride before I buy when the Bianchi caught my eye.

the Bianchi Via Nirone Veloce I was thinking of was about €1100 off the web
That doesn't seem outrageously expensive does it?

No! It looks nice actually - I like the curved top tube!

Have to say though - much prefer the idea of having a shop to complain to if things go wrong, plus if you can get friendly with a particular shop the discounts pay for the bike over time!

I think the C2C 928 Carbon is the nicest frame I have seen in a very long time. I want a 105 C2C 928 Carbon but it would set me back approx€1800 (£1300). I don't think there's much change coming in their new 2008 range due out this September. More changes to their high end HoC 928 carbon frames and I think the lower ranges have been left alone, generally, tweaking here and there. Could mean good sales in Sept/Oct on their '07 range. I also like Colnago's but they're uber expennie.

Aside: No Bianchi bikes in the TdF this year surprisingly, and two teams riding Cannondales and I think two teams riding Specialised. I'm sure Eduardo Bianchi's not happy (if he was alive!).

yeah the c2c 928 10 is nice, as are both via nirone 7 alu/carbon (ultegra/veloce) they're white hot.

    didn't liquigas ride bianchi once?

ever since i was in italy i've had my heart set on bianchi or colnago, and i'd definitley get a cheap flight over and bring the bike back with me on the plane.

although these bikes are basically a months wage for me. yikes.

Ditto. Except that I lived in Italy for several years but given the crap pay there, could never justify buying one of those bikes. Now I get more money but those lovely bikes are so so far away.

@ba: Are you going for the DW ride tomorrow? I have a cold + chest thingy so don't feel upto it. But let me know how you are getting on.

I thought I saw some in Wheelworx in Fonthill alongside Colnago and Eddy Merckx, but there's no mention on the site. Either I'm just wrong or they just have one or two on show.
