I Need A Video Camera, Advice !

    Ok so i need a new video camera, i dont have the money for a whole load of pro features, but i dont need a full pro cam, although canon XL H1 *orgasm* but i also dont want a tiny little silver plasticcy thing that records like its a tiny plasticcy thing

    so heres my requirments :

    Storage : DVCAM, Mini DV, HDV (any of those) Need 16:9 recording, NO DVD DISKS !!
    Interface : IEEE 1394 (Firewire, DV Link, i Link) In and Out is required
    Lens attachment : something that can accomodate at least a 48mm diameter lens, also square hood in the box would be nice but not necessary
    Features : Microphone input socket required, can be 3.5mm jack, bnc, phono or XLR once i can plug in a mic, Hot shoe needed for light etc..
    Display : EVF (viewfinder) needed, LCD not essential but recommended

    now the worst requirment, price : 1000 euro delivered max !

    now lets hope someone can throw a model number or two after me

    canon hv-20 probably closest to matching most (not all) of you requirements.

    cheers, the HV20 seems to be ok,

    anyone got any idea where to get a panasonic

    AG-DVC20 or
    AG-DVC60 in this country ?
