Around €1500 brand new from ebay. Bargaintastic.

    Guitar: Mexican Strat
Bass: Cheap Ernie Ball Stingray knockoff that I've had since I was wee
Fx: Electroharmonix USA Big Muff Pi and USA Small Stone, Vox wah.
    Flooring: laminated wood floor (:D)

All plugged into Native Instruments' Guitar Rig via an EMU1616 interface and out via my lovely Tapco monitors. Used to use a crappy Marshall amp but the PC-based setup kicks its arse since I stopped gigging.

Nice, very nice, beautiful stunning colour...

Reminds me of Frusciante's white falcon, another beauty...

Wouldn't say no to a go of that some time, you can have a shot of my strat, if your careful that is.

    Left to right:
1993 Gordon Smith GS-1.60 (seldom leaves case)
???? Brian May Signature (wall hanging ornament)
    1992 Gordon Smith GS-2.60

Play the GS-2 mostly, seldom plug it in, if I do its thru' one of the little Marshall amps. Playing clean with a bit if reverb from the neck pickup on the GS-2 is actually pretty sweet. Also have a Zoom G2.1u and an old 4040.

... and there's a terrible rumour that a 1994 Patrick Eggle Berlin is soon to be on its way :D

    p.s. thats not my carpet.

My first guitar. Squire strat with SD Hotrails. Loud mofo @ CGCFAD.
    346293929a4740370756l.jpg

    My Mex Strat
    346293929a4740371006l.jpg

My Epi LP Standard with SD Jeff Beck and '59 in Eb (gotta love G'n'R)
    346293929a4740371207l.jpg

My Ibanez RGT-42 (navy metalic finish not picked up by camera)
    346293929a4740371437l.jpg

My main guitar however is this loverly G&L Asat Deluxe semi-hollow with stock SD pickups. (Needs a polish I know! )
    346293929a2012276640b18169866l.jpg

My seldom used (and always for sale) '78 Fender P-bass!
    346293929a2012277427b772284891l.jpg

D'acoustic. Ibanez AEL40 SE semi-acoustic (sexeh solid spruce top and tree of life(ish) inlay)
    346293929a4740371654l.jpg

Then all of them (apart from the acoustic and bass obviously) go here: Boss GT-6, DS-1 and DD-3, Marshall GV-2 Guv'nor and VS102r.
    346293929a4740382455l.jpg

Seldom use the standalone pedals. Will do when I get the full list I want and dispose of the GT-6.

I wasn't using any effects that day as the keen eyed will have already spotted. Nice for a change. I am also aware that the lead is caught under the expression pedal. I fall over quite frequently as a result of this or it getting caught in other stupid places.

What're those Madison's like? I'm a bit curious about them, having seen one of the guitarists from Aborted using one.

It is an UBER hefty amp....really heavy...the clean is beautiful and the gain is merciless...
If I was a metal player....I'd be very happy....but alas....I play a lot of different styles...so I had to get the VOX....I think the TSL is the most versatile amp ever made to be honest !!! :o)

    Dirty...

Is the Marshall TSL 100 really loud? It wouldn't be suitable for using at home would it?

You must spend every penny you get on banjo's. My girlfriend is sitting beside me here having a nervous breakdown thinking that I'm going to buy all that stuff too.... :D

    Keep on truckin....

    lev,
    Lovely, lovely strats...

Oh, look at ye with all the flashy pictures... I don't think I have any, but I guess I'll have to.

Guitar - Gibson SG standard (the classic black... none of this goth ****)

Acoustic - Yamaha CPX (in tropical marine blue... so everyone calls it "green")

Bass - Fender Aerodyne Deluxe (flamed maple with transparent blue over it, natural colour binding, natural neck, blue head.)

Guitar goes to a fender blues jnr or a microcube, the bass goes into a no frills trace elliott.

No fancy FX that I really use, tu2, Marshall Jackhammer but I rarely use it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,034 ✭✭✭✭It wasn't me!

    Guitars and basses:
    1993 Les Paul Standard
    Schecter C-7 Blackjack
    Warwick Streamer
    Simon and Patrick acoustic
    Piece of crap Spanish guitar

    Amp:
1983 JCM800 4210 1x12 combo. Going to be selling this though in favour of a Mesa or ENGL methinks.

    Pedals:
    Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi
    MXR Phase 100
    Boss NS2 noise gate
    Boss CS3 compressor

selling all the pedals too, bar the noise gate, they were kinda a whim. Going to acquire me an EQ and a distortion or overdrive though, that's as much as I'd see myself using really.

Thanks, I suppose I should list what they are; the Black w/gold pickguard is an American Deluxe 2006 HSS w/S1 switching, roller nut and Schaller locking tuners - it is the most versatile guitar I've ever played. The humbucker will do a decent Les Paul imitation and the S1 switching gives a huge pallet of strat sounds...

The sonic blue w/mint pickguard is a MIM Classic Player 60's Strat - I can't tell how great these guitars are if you're looking for Hendrix/Gilmour/Clapton type classic strat sounds. They are designed by the Fender Custom Shop but made in Mexico and have quite a few unique custom shop features. The main attraction for this guitar is the Custom Shop '69 pickups!

The white one is my first strat a '95 Richie Sambora Strat (cringe!!), I still have a soft spot for this strat though. It'll never ever go out of tune and has a really nice neck. I need to do some TLC on it, possibly a rewire and some new PUP's would make it a great guitar.

I also have a PRS Santana SE which is a fine guitar also but would benefit from some new PUP's too..
