I have my full drivers license and insurance policy on my car. Does this mean that I can drive other peoples cars?

    Some will some want.

You might just be covered for the value of your own car and not of the car you are driving.

Normally you are insured 3rd party, and only insured on a car of a value up to about 70k

    if
    a) Owner consents
    b) car is insured
    c) you don't own the car

I can (and do) drive a Merc S Class V12 on my focus policy.
