Pretty much, here's extracts from the Ó Donaill dictionary:

iarr, v.t. (vn. ~aidh, pp. ~tha). 1. (b) Seek, search for. Troid a iarraidh, to look for a fight. Bean a iarraidh (le pósadh), to ask for a woman's hand (in marriage). An fhírinne a iarraidh, to seek the truth. Táthar do d'iarraidh, you are wanted. Cad é atá tú ag iarraidh ansin? What are you looking for there? Níl uaidh ach 'iarraim cúis', all he wants is an excuse. Níl aon duine ag iarraidh do chúraim ort, nobody wants you attentions; stop meddling.

lorg2, v.t. & i (pp. ~tha). 2. Obair a lorg, to look for work. Cuideachta a lorg, to seek company. Ag lorg trioblóide, courting trouble. Ag lorg pléisiúir, in pursuit of pleasure. Rud a lorg ar dhuine, to ask s.o. for sth. Cad tá á lorg agat? What are you after? (Var: ~ air)
