    Prey definitely my fave -very innovative for the genre

    HL2 a close second

    Only played the Prey demo but it's good.
    But try before you buy:

    Halo2 for PC is Vista only, wouldn't even consider it.
    With this game I think it's a case of too little too late I think:

    XBox 360 version gets 9.4


    Half Life 2 is very good also but the installation is a PITH!

    For some reason I hated it at the start, but the more it went on the more I found I was enjoying it despite myself.
    Really surprised when I finished it and found I'd enjoyed it overall more than Stalker (for me, biggest let down in ages)

    Only played the demo but I really enjoyed it. Having read that it didn't last too long I hung off buying it but eventually picked it up yesterday in GAME for €8. :)

    Prey is Doom 3 with crappier weapons TBH. It has the same engine and they didn't do much to change the look of it. It did have some innovative aspects alright but it gets pretty boring after awhile. That said it was pretty good fun while it lasted.

    Stalker is great, so so annoying at time, but great.

    Brothers in Arms wasn't bad either. I likes their effort at more realistic combat.

    I quite enjoyed SWAT 4, good call.

    Half-life 2 of course is great.

    Painkiller from a few years ago was great mindless fun.
