Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I said I'd post it in the city forum because it attracts the most visitors.

    Lismore Cricket Club

    Lismore attracts international flavour
    to 2007 Cricket Festival

The Royal Cricket Club from the United Arab Emirates along with teams from County Clare and the Irish Navy will join Lismore on the August Bank Holiday weekend for the 2007 Cricket Festival. In what will be a veritable feast of colourful and fast paced cricket, the hosts Lismore are thrilled to welcome a distinguished line up for the two day event which will commence at the Castlefarm on Saturday August 4th with a 40 over friendly between Lismore and the Royal Cricket Club.

Then on Sunday August 5th, the real competitive action begins in the form of SUPER 7’s cricket and high drama is assured as the teams battle it out throughout the day culminating in a evening final to win the specially commissioned Waterford Crystal SUPER 7’s trophy. This quick fire format means that each team will play one another with each game lasting less than one hour. Food and drink will be served throughout the day as the players and spectators alike soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the Irish conditions. Then the two leading teams will compete in the final in and around 6pm on Sunday evening in the Festival 2007 decider.

As always, all are welcome to attend the games at the Castlefarm which will be free of charge, and a large attendance is expected for the SUPER 7’s on Sunday, which will be the highlight of the weekend. Further details on the various teams are expected in the coming days, and with a scorching August predicted for the South East, Lismore will be the place to be this August Bank Holiday weekend. Until next time, keep the willow swinging! (The Nightwatchman)

Looking forward to it this weekend as we're expected to get good crowds and hopefully some good weather for the festival. If anyone is interested in going and need directions just let me know. Hope to see some of ye there.

I'd actually love to go up and spend a day there, but the thing is an awful lot of my friends mark the Spraoi in the diaries for a trip back to the deise and I can't really duck them to go to this.
    Hope you get the weather!

OP: The whole idea of the county forum is county stuff go in there. While its dead, we still gotta use it. Personally, id prefer them to be merged but the admins wish to leave it for now so we just gotta use it!

It's a bit of a competition and an exhibition. We're currently on a good run of form in both Divisions 2 & 3 at the moment. If you've nothing planned and nothing to do why not come up and watch it.
