Steam ,can downloads be backed up ?

    Hello ,I want to backup all the stuff on my machine.
    Can I backup downloaded games in the steam interface ,or do I have to re-download them ?
    I've paid for about 3 games and download about 10 demos. Altogether it's a few gigabytes.

    Yep, just open steam, go to the my games menu, right click on a game and choose "backup game files"
    That'll create an executable file, all you have to do to recover your files is double click that (presuming you already have steam installed)
