Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

it was reported in the likes of the SUN , but the Chelsea site were quick to
say that nothing had been settled yet...

maybe BBC are still waiting for an absolute conf .. a bit slow on the uptake since the podcast is dated 29/7 ...

i agree - chelsea have enough money, and he is important to them. Its not like they'd be giving it all to charity if he wasn't taking it.

Players 'deserve' whatever their club offers and can afford to give them.

I reckon it will be Cristiano Ronaldo, if he is still at United then.

That's excellent news. Now hopefully that will inspire Frank Lampard and a few other Chelsea players to up their wage demands and then when Abramovich gets tired on Chelsea, the club could face the same turmoil that hit Leeds.

I thought it was announced recently that Chelsea paid out something like £114m in wages last year, compared to £83m by ManU and £80m by Arsenal and now with new deals for Terry, and presumably Lampard too, their wage bill will soar even further. With home crowds of just over 40k(even if ticket prices are high), its hard to see how they could afford this if Roman left with his billions. And I wouldn't count on him still being around 5-10 years from now. Once he gets all the trophies he wants, he'll start looking for a new challenge.
