For the past 10 years I have been placing an each way lucky 15 on the handicap coupon at Ladbrokes and have won the odd time as the premiership is so predictable why not give your team a head start? I notice some Sheff Wed fans here might want to back their team with a 14pt start at 18/1?
Anyway I'm looking for value so anyone know of teams with high handicaps that are investing heavily that might be worth a punt let me know full list.

Man City and Arsenal are good bets there.

I had a thread on this already. I settled for Portsmouth +37 points at 16/1 with Boyles. Put up to €100 on it and they'll match your stake with a free bet to the same value (for new customers).

Basically, a 37 point handicap on last seasons points would give them 91. I think they're certain to improve with the signings they've made so should finish up on at least 94 points with the handicap. Newcastle are my biggest worry but I think they'll need at least 66 points next season to better Pompey which is unlikely.

Paddy Power are offering Spurs at +22 and Arsenal at +14, both at 15-1.

I took Blackburn +35 at 21/1 on Betfair. I think they have Roque Santa Cruz up front for the new season. Ship it.

Pompey for me. No European distractions. Good buys this Summer. Decent manager.

That was until Sven starting spending money like a madman. I like Sven, he's a shagger and the English media hate him. That said, he has an outstanding record in club management.

Anyway, check out vcbet.com if you fancy going for this type of bet. No idea how close the prices are. They are offering a £100 free treble on the first weekends matches if you take on of these long term bets.

I'm tempting faith here as I much rather keeping my bets hush hush but feck it. Portsmouth are top of the handicap table with 4 games to go.

    Portsmouth (+37) - 94
    Everton (+32) - 93
    Man City (+39) - 90

Brackets is the handicap. The other figure is the points after handicap is added.

Blackburn are next, 6 points behind. Villa and Arsenal after that and I think the rest have no chance.

    Fixtures

    Pompey
    Man City (a)
    Blackburn (h)
    Middlesbrough (a)
    Fulham (h)

    Everton
    Aston Villa (h)
    Arsenal (a)
    Newcastle (h)

    Man City
    Portsmouth (h)
    Fulham (h)
    Liverpool (a)
    Middlesbrough (a)

If Pompey beat City on Sunday then it's between Pompey and Everton with Portsmouth having a 4 point advantage for the last 3 games. If Man City win they're well in with a shout. I'd probably take a draw now.

I'll be a nervous wreck. Pretty much a months wages to be won here. Incredible that I gave up on this bet when Everton were about 10 points ahead of Pompey and Arsenal looked to be walking away with it.

Good luck, biggest worry for me would be the last match before the cup final! Players tend to look after themselves with a few to the big one.

Everton finished on 97, Arsenal on 95, City on 94 and Pompey also on 94. Unlucky!

Was it an each-way bet? Or was that possible?

Told you the internet has me jinxed. ;) 4 games since I posted and 4 defeats. If they even won 1 of those I would have got €850 back.

My bet with Paddy Power on Arsenal at +14 came good, €400 better off.

I feel dirty, but it will help pay for next season's season ticket so it's all good...:D

Yeah I had City with Ladbrokes and they finished a point behind the gunners despite leading all the way, I'm leading the Sack our Sven campaign.
Had Hereford in Division 4 or whatever it is nowadays, so about even on the season.

Ah well, not too bad at all.

Sounds like there's value in these types of bets, be sure have a thread like this next season I think.
