Check if your PC can run a game

Hey, dunno if this is the right place but i'll try anyways... My buddy mentioned to me before that there's a website (or possibly a lot of them) that you can go onto, you pick a PC game, and it'll check your computer and tell you if it can run the thing or not... Sound right? Anybody got a link or something?
