    I was always hoping for a boards kilkenny poker school thingy

    (this from the guy who uses stay up all night in the casino in Riga, drinks free so the more u loss the more drink you ordered to balance it out)

    Darren there is a new booklet thing of 100s of things to do in Kilkenny, line skating, archery , etc etc

    If I remember what its called , or indeed venture outside of my hermitage, I'll get more details

    hi thanks if you can find it that would be much appreciated but no worries if you can't!

    ah yeah a boards meet up poker game would be class alright! We could arrange it for one of the local pub on a wkend maybe fortnightly or monthly whatever suits others really. maybe something like a €5 in if people want to play Something like that keep if friendly i wouldn't suggest much more than that cos when moneys involved it can get competitive but for just a €5 people are more likely to laugh and enjoy themselves, while it if was free no one would take the game serious and just keep going all in :p

    have you played much yourself? I've only played in college with friends tbh and am only familiar with texas hold em myself, how about you?

    also quick question
    -> Kilkenny Cineplex
    Fair Green, Kilkenny

    is that right in kilkenny city? or a bit outside it?

    Its in the centre of town, beside a big football pitch (that's the fair green).

    I can't remember the name of the booklet of things to do in Kilkenny either but I bought (and subsequently mislaid) a copy in the newsagent's in the Market Cross.

    A Kilkenny boards meet-up wouldn't be a bad idea but I'm not sure about the poker bit.

    If your coming to Kilkenny you'll want to stay away from McAuley Place, Horrible things go on in there :(

    No. It was something a woman who lives in the Kilkenny area put together with lists of clubs/societies - that sort of thing in it. Unlike the Whazons, it wasn't a freebie but A5 sized. I can't for the life of me remember the name of it but recall there being a write-up in the Kilkenny People when it was launched a year or two ago.
