Insurance claim query - friend can't remember date of accident

A colleague was front-ended by a learner driver who stalled on a hill and rolled back into him, causing about $2,500 damage. The other driver's father has been abusive and threatening on the phone, so the claim will have to go through insurance.

He can't remember with certainty the date of the accident, but thinks he has narrowed it down to a particular day. His teenage daughter is his only witness.

Does anyone know how his claim will be treated in view of his problem with the date?

He should be able to figure it out from his phone records if he called the guards or if he remembers who he called after the accident etc.

Yup Guards will have in on their Pulse system and any one of them can call the info up in a matter of seconds.

Thanks guys. He didn't call the guards. Good idea about the phone records though; maybe he can nail it down that way.

Anyone know how he would stand if he can't get the exact date though?
