Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nesta, who won 78 caps, was part of Italy's squad that won the World Cup in Germany in 2006.

He has not played for his country since injuring his right thigh in the third game of Italy's World Cup campaign.

Nesta underwent shoulder surgery in December and returned to help Milan win the Champions League, but opted to sit out Italy's recent European Championship qualifiers because he was getting married.

He joined Milan in 2002, recently signing a contract extension keeping him at the San Siro until 2011.

Shame, players are retiring younger and younger, he's only 31 !

its weird. When there was a lot less money in the game, players seemed to play as long as possible for their national team. Now when even one season could set you up for life, a lot of players quit their national team to prolong their career and earn even more money!

So basically, football has aways been about the money. ;)
