Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What do yee think of it lads?

It reminds me a bit of the Uefa site, but less organised or something. Just seems very all over the place. I know some of this is probably since im so used to the old format, but we all know change is Bad!

Also they've gone down the road of having "sun" styled minor headlines halfway down the page eg the big unnecessary "City delight" http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11679_2637153,00.html
or the giant "Terrific capture" here; http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_2637205,00.html

I've always wondered what these are for? is it because we cant pay attention for a whole page and need something big and bold to recapture our attention?!

Why does it always take so long to open?

agree awfull, i used to use skysports a bit up to a year ago , then they stated using loads of flash advertising , its dog slow , and has regularly crashed my browser ..

BBC sets the pace for me , and is the real football website marker.

Yeah, it's my first port of call for all my non-eL related football news.

Like a bad version of http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/

The previous version was utter crap.

BBC + Newsnow are the best.

I never use SkySports for my football news. Always thought it was a bit flashy.

Hate the new format. Gonna switch to BBC

Terrible. Why would they change it. The Independent done this recently too. Its to try make the site more streamlined but it seems to take longer to view the things you want. Ah maybe I will get used to it but I will always miss the old site now.

The old one was just so simple to navigate, always used it for news and player details from each league, eg if wanted to check something out about random non famous person, just click in, click to their league and team and straight into their profile, was such simple straightforward navigation, which is the most important thing in a website.

Its funny, they probably spent a fortune on this new site everyone hates.

I think a lot of the changes are going to be for the next season. When I saw it I thought it meant they were really going to expand their stats section and stuff (hopefully using prozone) but they aren't which is annoying.

Where has the section gone that shows all live games that are being shown?

below the Skysports logo is the bar with the different sports links on it, below this again is the "football links" bar. on this is the "fictures and results" link. they're in there, again not as clear as it used to look. Although it only shows all the games so you have to thrawl through to find the live ones. No option to filter for just a months live games.

Is it just me or does this site actually look more dated then the original? Even on the fixtures thing the little icons for matches being shown and "reports" look like they were made in MS Paint and stretch/skewed smaller to fit..

Fantasy premier league has also undergone a facelift. I actually like the new layout there though. Have to agree with most of the above comments re: the new sky site. Might have to migrate to BBC too, I can't stand it.

I dont like the new Fantasy Premier League site either.

Looks like the designer just threw up all over the place; it's a bit of a mess I think. The old one was simple and effective. This one is tacky and not as quick to navigate around.

Newsnow was good until a load of sites decided to put up any old articles just to get hits. Setanta are one of the biggest culprits. Once a month they might put up about 5 Celtic related articles and delete them immediately. This means that when you click the newsnow link you get redirected to their site. They also linked Celtic with Andy Cole there a few days ago for the craic.
