I'm building a new PC and I'm looking for recommendations on the case. A tower case which will be located on a desk in the sitting room. Something classy, with no go faster stripes or glass panels. I would have a preference for it being aluminium in colour/finish but as long as it's nice any colour is acceptable. Good quiet cooling. And if you think it needs a particular PSU recommend that too please.

I was thinking of something along the line of this one here http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=311520 but the pictures not really great so I couldn't sure.

Some of these are nice if I could lose the glass side panels http://www1.hardwareversand.de/6VUwY2MjV5mEfo/2/articlelist.jsp?agid=1

    Any suggestions?

this one seems really nice and stylish:
    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=330958

or this one is nice and cheap and stylish
    http://www2.hardwareversand.de/7V3cYdqu-yXLdN/3/articledetail.jsp?aid=7686&agid=632

depends what ur putting into ur PC - if ur putting in expensive components, then obviously go for a better case so they last

Actually didn't spot this one initially, very stylish indeed. What about a PSU for it? I'm a bit out of the loop at the moment on PC hardware. But the motherboard I was thinking of getting is ABIT IP35 PRO, P35, Socket-775, ATX, Silent Otes2, 2xGbLAN, DDR2, 2xPCI-Ex16 http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=335649 What PSU is best to go with this?

havent a clue to be honest man lol. best off waiting for someone else on the forum to offer their advice on that to be honest

€220 is a lot of money for a case. And you still have to buy another PSU which could be up €100 for average/decent one...

Alternatively, you could just hide the chassis!

personally, it has little or no bells and whistles, but for a PC builder this case will be a dream come through, i'll be getting the CM Cosmos when its released in August.

Heres my experience of cases I have owned so far.

    Coolermaster Wavemaster
Pro: Very nice to look at and quite sturdy with fairly thick aluminium for good noise dampening.
Cons: Poor airflow with only one 80mm intake fan. Even with a removable motherboard tray it was very cramped to work in. I have four hard drives and 3 PCI cards so I just had to get rid of it.

    Next I got a Gigabyte 3D Aurora
Pro: Lots more room to work with. Much better airflow with a 120mm intake fan and two 120mm exhaust fans. Great for a watercooling setup.
Cons: Very noisy due to the mesh side panel which does nothing to mask the sound of fans and hard drives. Tool less design made it an absolute nightmare to mount everything but CD/DVD drives into the 5.25" Drive Bays. I ended up having to butcher the case to fit a fan controller and a hard drive enclosure.

The noise has finally gotten to me so after doing a good bit of research I decided to get an
Antec P182. Pretty much everywhere I read about it there was nothing but positive views on it. It arrived this morning so I should get it unpacked tonight, if you want I'll let you know I get on.

Also if your interested in some really well built cases have a look at the Lian-Li range.

Seconded, the case looks like a beast, all the reviews are raving about it, it looks smooth!!!

Plus cable management aspects look sweet. I think im going to move my current setup into one of these and then use my old case and spare bits for a file server or something!

Anybody know who will be stocking them??? I posted in the Komplett forum enquiring if they will be getting any in, but sometimes there not the best for selection!

    have one of these

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=3

great case but weighs a tonne. have had and Antec 900

    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-065-AN

also great. 4 fans including a big 200mm one in the top. plenty of cooling in it.

Bah he said he wanted an aluminium case that looked good:
    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-038-LL&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=187
    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-041-LL&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=187

Simple, cheap, aluminium, built like a tank, would blend into any environment.

    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-141-CM&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=29

pretty big, doesn't have a side window, but does have lots of green lights. made from aluminium, excellent cooling properties.

My favourite right now is still the Cooler Master Stacker 831 http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=330958

Not cheap by any means but I won't be changing it for some time so not a bad investment.

Also the one L31mr0d posted http://www.coolermaster.com/microsite/Cosmos/ is pretty cool looking,

its never recommended here but its pretty big over the water for aircooling
    NZXT ADAMAS
**Note** its cheaper elsewhere, overclockers had it on sale for 50 quid!

This COSMOS 1000 looks fabulous! Depending on the price I think I'll get one in September when I build my new PC!

Go for the Silverstone Temjin TJ09.
    Fabulous case..with or without window.
Loads of room inside and made from aluminium so it's light.
    Can hold 5 x 120mm fans.

There taking pre orders on yoyotech.co.uk

With shipping (£35) your looking at about 265 Euro.

Expensive enough for a case, but i think im going to go for it!

What a horrible looking case. IT does have some nice design features though. Personally i would have to reccomend you anything from lian li, silverstone tj-07 and tj-09.

Probably going to get roasted by Anti, but i actually think the case looks good.

Im not saying its the most aesthetically pleasing case ive seen, but its definitely not the worst ive come across, and with all the features the case has, the ++++++'s far outweigh the
    's IMHO.

All in all i cant wait to get my hands on this!

Seriously though, I really think I will be getting this case in September... I just hope overclockers.co.uk have that case on offer by then, seen as I'm buying everything from them...
