Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi

a few weeks ago i started a thread about problems getting AFT working on a SE W800i. anyway, short story, i damaged the phone a few days ago and the repair cost would have been more than an upgrade. i took the upgrade (€49).

i am with meteor. my new phone is SE W810i. it looks like there have been no problems reported with the W810i using AFT (according to http://aft.donutsoft.net/).

anyway, i installed AFT. my internet apn is enabled as i can see meteor charging me €0.01 for internet access through my online account.

i keep getting the following error:

    "Message Sent. You have
Bad Request (Invalid Header Name)
message left".

    can somebody please help ?

    thanks in advance - laoisfan

ps. my origional thread for the SE W800i is here

The first step is to go into java settings (or streaming settings) under connectivity and make sure its set to use the meteor wap settings

done - still get the same error. this is really frustrating, i know there have been users who have this working on SE W810i.

Commander - if you have a W810i, can you post your data account settings? or PM them to me?

    thanks - laoisfan

This page shows exactly how to enter the settings on a sony ericsson.

    http://randomprojects.eu/operatorsettings

if you enter them and it doesnt work then the problem's somewhere else.

Those settings are for the gprs apn so call up and make sure thats activated.

Commander - you the man. i had most of those setting but was missing username/password and proxy/port number in one section. when i sent test message it told the number of messages i had left after sending. it seems to have worked. just have to wait for my buddy to reply to my test message. might just fire one off myself.

    thanks dude!

this is working now using GPRS APN on my SE W810i. i checked meteor online and they are charging me €0.02 per txt. still it is better than normal text rates.
pity the internet apn does not work, probably due to SE maybe.

    thanks a lot.

Laoisfan: try the sony ericsson configurator thingy for sending settings to your handset.
