    Hi folks

    Just looking to get back into cycling and dusted off the old mountain bike but its in a bad state. Looking to upgrade for 400 - 500 euro mark. I will be using it mostly for road use (but dodgy country roads with lots of potholes so dont think a racer, or hybrid will cut it) and nothing too serious (maybe 2-3 hours per week)

    What would your suggestions be?

    Would it be better with no suspension forks? Are disc brakes worth it? Can you suggest the best (most comfortable) saddle?

    As regards accessories - what would you think? Are the mini computers a good idea or just a fad? Whats the best way of carrying water - are those ruck sack type water carriers any good?
