Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The RSA have a new / revised booklet called THIS IS YOUR BIKE.

It provides useful reading for other road users also.

This is the revision of the revision, if you know what I mean...
The first revised version issued by the RSA (as distributed at the RDS bike show last March) was dumbed down significantly in relation to filtering and particularly cornering, basically instructed you to remain in the centre of your lane at all times, ignoring the principle of positioning for safety.

MAG Ireland and some of the trainers involved in the preparation of the original version objected and it looks like the text and diagrams are now pretty much back to the last (and good) NSC version

They had to be reminded that revising the content without the input of the people who produced the original - while still putting their names to the revised version without their approval - was, at best, bad manners. Presumably a few thousand of the dumbed down version got pulped, but not before some found their way into the hands of riders :(

Here is a good (and concise) guide to sharing the road safely for both car drivers and motorcyclists.
