    Hi All

Thinking of getting set up for the new prem season but just want to check a few things before spending big bucks and finding out either the cables to long or receiver cant pick up said stations, or worse still said stations don’t show live games on sat afternoon anymore like ART or AL JAZEERA did.
So if you guys could help it would be much appreciated.

1.Got my pc in another room but have a wireless belking router in same room
as where the reciever will be going so i would need a reciever that will be
able to connect a cable from router to reciever for updates. would
any reciever be able to accomodate this.
Would need a cable at least 5m long as thats how far reciever from
    router will be.

    2. have got a humax 9200t pvr box for recording when out, will it be possible to record football matches from satellite channels onto humax box when im out or would i need a reciever with built in harddrive.

    3. am i right in thinking when i run coax cable from reciever to dish thats
the only cable i will need to move motorised dish to swap satelites.

    4. running 40 mts BELDEN WEBRO 100dB cable along my balcony in council metal tray which also houses elctrical cables to power lights on balcony, will there be any interference in doing this, am told this is the best cable to attempt this.

    5. will a 85cm High Gain Solid Satellite Dish be big enough to pick up
Digit-Alb channel for football., would be positioning dish on fifth floor, not sure whether this would make a difference to signal.

    6. heard that showtime Arabia have rights to football this year and will
need at least a 2.8m dish to receive channel, is there any truth in this do
    you know.

    7. would need tel no to a good installer to position dish and set receiver up if anybody knows, I live in east London.

sorry so many questions but new to this and value your knowledge

    A Dreambox.

I don't think the Humax is able to record from external sources.

For dishes under 1.2M with a Diseqc motor, yes.

If it has a copper sheath with a copper braid, it should probably be fine.

85cm might be marginal in Ireland but would be fine in London.

    About 2M for London.
