Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Should be a bit of fun as Keane road-tests the first team squad ahead of the bread and butter next Saturday. We can watch on Setanta Ireland for free :)

I'd watch this just to see McShane. I love watching the lad. :)

Is that Ian Darke commentating? Is he with Setanta for the season?

    Who is the co-commentator?

Just denied a great chance. Free kick swung in, and he met it with a strong header.

Straight at the keeper, but he did very well.

And now it's 1-0 to Sunderland. Murphy.

Yeah who is this co-commentator? He is wrecking my head... Is anyone else finding it very annoying everytime he refers to Sunderland as "us" or "we"? I think is one of the most annoying things a commentator can do.

Jason McAteer is a bleeding pundit?

That big "I'm so intelligent, look at my serious face" head on him.

Not when he is commentating on a channel that I am paying to watch and expect some level of professionalism from. Its not like he is down the pub with his mates, he is meant to be commentating on a national channel that is supposed to be at least somewhat un-biased... Perhaps if it was Sunderland TV it would be ok but its not. Its completely unprofessional and it doesn`t fill me with confidence about Setanta's premiership coverage

Still doesnt it make it any less annoying. I dont hear Andy Gray refering to Everton or Villa as "we" or "us" when he is commentating for example.
Its great to see Nedved and Del Piero playing together, two top class players.

The main commentator is not Ian Darke and I don't see how someone could confuse him with Ian 'the greatest boxing commentator of all time' Darke .

He normally works for the BBC as part of their match of the day programme , doing the commentary for the 2nd/3rd most important games .
