Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Problem with Nokia E61 Texting

    This has been happening for a while now :mad: . . when texting the;Sending' incon stay son for what can be up to a 50 odd secs after hitting the 'send' button. . .during this time the phone is frozen sO I cant do anything else with the phone.

    Anyone know if this a bug with this phone and/or is there any fix it solution? (bought it SIM Free abroad in an overseas Nokia shop aswell so have fock all after sales service here in Ireland).

    Go into the Catalog menu on your phone and into Nokia extras or Nokia software. There was a download there called "SMS Accelerator" for my Nokia e50 - might be there for you and might help out.

    (you will incur WAP/GPRS charges)

    Scroll down. Fixes the problem. Also delete any unnecessary messages in both sent and received folders and restart your phone. You should then be back up to speed.

    Known issue with earlier firmware versions, what version do you have? enter *#0000# on phone to display

    Went online (using the handset) and tried to download the software from Nokias site, but it came up with an error message :(

    Model is

    1.0610.04.04
    19-04-06
    RM-89
    Nokia E61

    Any more tips - shoud I try and download off internet via PC instead of handset?:confused:

    That is the original version, mine has ver 3.06 on it

    Go to the nokia site and download their software update utility to your pc, connect e61 via cable and run their software

    ^ Make sure to backup everything first. Firmware upgrade wipes phone.

    When you say backup everything. . .do you mean the phone numbers aswell?

    Yes. firmware update will wipe everything, and ver 1 is the original so well worth updating.

    Or sync with outlook before updating
