Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I've installed an Akasa I/O port 5.5" .

    See http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=314323

Primarily for the card reader altho' it's got lots of other features.

When I stop an SD card and remove it from the slot, it seems to not be properly removed.
If I re-insert it, itis not recognised.
Checking it's properties (after removal) this error message is shown....

Windows cannot use this hardware device because it has been prepared for safe removal, but it has not been removed from the computer. (Code 47)
I checked the microsoft site. Below is it's helpful advice...

Does it seem silly to have to reboot, every time I swap an SD card ?
Kinda defeats the purpose. I bought it to not to have to fiddle with an external card-reader.

To fix this problem, unplug this device from the computer and then plug it in again.
The device has been prepared for ejection.
This error code occurs only if the user used the Safe Removal application to prepare the device for removal, or pressed a physical eject button. Restarting the computer brings the device online if the user does not want to eject from the dock.
Unplug the device, and then plug it in again. Alternately, restart the computer to make the device available.
On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard.

Any idea what's gonig on ?

    A.

In my computer try right clicking on the drive with the SDCard in it and select eject instead and see what happens.

    That worked perfectly :D:D
    Thanks .

It's embarassing to me that such a long post could be answered in one line...

I've always used the 'safely remove hardware ....' and was certain it was the only way to do it.

Did the method you describe always work for memory cards ?

Yeah it's kinda odd like that some readers are meant to use the eject command but other use the safely remove hardware feature or at least work without it going bananas.
