Good thing is with such a small league the selection of good players was spread.

    Brian Westbrook (PHI)
    Joseph Addai (IND)

    DeAngelo Williams (CAR)

    WR:

Very happy with my team, bit of a 49er bias, but what can you do you have to be a bit loyal [I think Vernon Davis is going to have a gigantic season, now he will have a full season under his belt, and we have a more confident offence, people keeping an eye on Gore should give him space]

The starters are generally on top, but not really had a look yet, dont know one or two of them, so will do some research first :)

    QB:
    Vince Young [Ten]
    Chad Pennington [Jets]

    RB:
    Frank Gore [SF]
    Jamal Lewis [Cle]
    Ladell Betts [Was]

    WR:
    Marvin Harrisson [Indy]
    Darrel Jackson [SF]
    Bernard Berryman [Was]
    Derrek Mason [Bal]
    Marty Brooker [Mia]

    TE:
    Vernon Davis [SF]
    Eric Johnson [NO]

    Def:
    Baltimore
    Buffalo

    Kicker:
    Jason Ealam [Den]

I see no one took Michael Vick, thats a shock eh, he really has gone to the dogs
    [I'll get my coat] ;)

    anyone pick randy moss?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,308 ✭✭✭✭Dodge

He was picked in the first couple of rounds. Some user went on a mad one. Think he picked Brady No 1, then Moss, then Adam Viniteiri, then the Chicago defense

Bold strategy (and this user was 2nd choice)

Considering I missed the draft i'm happy enough with my team, got Shaun Alexander, Larry Fitz, Hines Ward... good few big names.

    Here's my team:

    qb Peyton
    BN qb Jason Campbell

    rb Travis Henry
    rb Edge/ Jacobs
    BN rb Brandon Jackson

    wr Branch
    wr Colston
    wr Vincent Jackson
    BN wr Santonio Holmes

    te Captain Chaos
    BN te Greg Olsen

    def Blitzburgh
    BN def Minnesota

Pretty happy with my team. Would have liked Anthony Gonzales as a Colts fan but maybe I can sort out a trade with whoever got him.

Wondering who would you guys start, Edge or Jacobs?

I like the look of that team Dulpit, full of Stud Fantasy players nd I would stick with the guys you highlighted at WR

Mustangs had 4th pick I do believe. If he had 1st im sure LT would have went first. I do believe the 1st was LT 2nd Manning 3rd Tom Brady Hence why Mustangs got Alexander so far down the order.

Everybody seems to take the stud running backs first in every draft i've seen. In most of my drafts ive taken Peyton Manning with my first pick, he scores more fantasy points than most if not all running backs every year.

The sacrifice there is that when it comes to round two you are left with a 'second rate' back but combine the two totals with what you would have got with a stud back and a 'second rate' quarterback and the results are favourable!

Took a QB too as I see the top 3/4 QBs equal to any running backs in fantasy terms bar LT, Johnson, Jackson, Goire and Alexander (in that order). I'd probably have Westbrook next but I'd be fairly confident Palmer would get more points and I'm happy enough with my RBs

Glad I picked Palmer now :)

He scored 40 of my 84 points (with Reggie Brown to come) as the Warriors go 2-0

Why? At this stage this looks like a bad case of aftertiming but in the fantasy league i did i drafted him in the 1st round at 6th and evryone was amazed i took him so high.

With the weapons he had last year he still scored well so i knew this year he would put up huge numbers.

    Delighted i drafted Moss aswell.:D

With a defence that conceeded 51pts against the Browns, it looks as though the Bengals are going to be doing a lot of passing this year.

Which in fantasy terms is good (Rudi Johnson rushed for 118 yards yesterday btw)

No question, more passing equals more fantasy points. I'm sure though that by seasons end, there will be more running backs in the top ten fantasy points scorers than QBs, as I think the scoring system slightly suits the RBs over the QBs. For example on a great day for a RB, he might gain 200yds and maybe 3 TDs, good for 38 fantasy points, but a QB with the same number of TDs would need to throw for 650yds to get the same number of points, which is almost impossible without extended overtime and a hopeless kicker.
