Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Without getting too technical here, that site runs on invision power board (ipb) and there's a series of updates and patches that need to be applied to it as it's the most hacked forum type out there.

My guess is that the patches haven't been applied, and the same group of hackers are breaching the security.

Our tech team are working around the clock to solve these problems once and for all. We introduced a few new security measures the last time the board went down that saw the board remain unhacked for quite some time.

However, it seems that people have it in for us and are persistantly coming up with new ways to re-hack the board. Nobody is more frustrated at this persistant childishness than ourselves. We wholeheartedly apologise for any inconvenience caused to any fans and give them our assurance that we are constantly working on preventing this from happening again.

I think IWW should turn this from a negative into a positive and introduce a Muslim hacker character into the promotion, blame everything on him

The IwW website is back up and running. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to fans. It happened at a very bad time as the necessary people, in IwW, needed to make the changes were away on vacation.

In order to stop any further problems to the site, we have had to remove the forums completely from our website, as it was the cause of the hacking. We will be putting a brand new forum up very soon.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Yo eggs, invest in a copy of vbulletin, the same board that boards.ie runs off and keep it updated. Invision is bloody horrible in my own experience of setting it up and adminning.
