    Hi all,
For a newbie cyclist contemplating the Wicklow 100/200 in June 2008 would there be any advice on heart rate monitors and training schedules. Does anyone have info on Guarranboy hill in Killaloe Co. Clare and Shallee hill in the Silvermines Co. Tipperary (height/difficulty)as that is the only bit of climbing i've done. I suppose joining a local cycle club is the only way to go.

    Cheers in advance

The Wicklow 100 is a doddle that requires little preparation. The 200 is more challenging but if you follow the advice on the wicklow 200 site you'll be fine.
