Advice on purchasing ford mondeo

Hi

My wife is in the market for a new car and as I have driven a mondeo in the past and loved it, I have recommended it to her.

However, she wants to get an auto. Has anyone any experience or knowledge of the automatic 2 litre mondeo, is it reliable and a good auto car? I myself had the manual.

Seeing as the new Mondeo has only just been released I really don't think it can be compared to the old one! I think it's probably early days for reliability issues to crop up.
Or do you mean a second hand one?
To be honest she should buy what she's comfortable with (as long as it's not a complete dog!) - what you like and what she likes may be totally different.
Take her to a few dealers test drive as many cars as she can and then start narrowing things down.

Mondeo petrol autos are fairly thin on the ground in Ireland. Those available however are dirt cheap to buy because of their unpopularity. I would say they are just as reliable as any other Mondeo varient. The only ones I could find are these:

Try and find a Ghia spec model as it will have all the trimmings. If you don't mind going to the UK then you will have a wider choice over there.
