    Lads,
I have to replace the 2 lights in the number plate of my 02 Audi A4.

I have been trying to source the whole cluster which contains the twon lights but cannot seem to source it 2nd hand. Tried a number of breakers but I am wondering if I have the correct name for this part.

Any ideas? OR anyone who may know where I might get one.

    Cheers

you need just the lights? ... why do u want to replace the whole cluster??

if its just the bulbs you will probably need w5w capless bulbs (501's) or maybe 31mm Festoon bulbs .. check your manual

Or halfords will be able to check on their ystem and even fit them for u

To answer your question, in "Vorsprung durch Technik" - language it would probably be called "Kennzeichenleuchte" :D ...but yeah ...whaddya want the whole thing for? Two small bulbs should sort it.

The 2 lights are so corroded that I cannot get the screws of them!! Spent fecking ages trying to prise them out with no joy at all! Now it seems the only way to do it is to remove the whole cluster!!

NCT is over due so need to get them done.

    Kennzeichenleuchte - You ape!! ;)

Audi parts list refers to it as the 'Licence Plate Light'

    Licence plate light - left - 8E0 807 430 A
    Licence plate light - right - 8E0 807 430 B

Call a main dealer - I don't imagine that these parts are too expensive.

WD40 the bulbs, let it soak, then try removing them again.

    Remember this mantra:

You only need 2 tools in this life; WD40 and Duct Tape.
If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40!
