Anyone move from 3 BB to Vodafone?

Just got the 3 USB modem yesterday and speeds are 400kps in the morning which is fine, but 16kps and less throughout the day. It also seems a but ropey picking up 3G signals. I think Ill return it to Carphone Warehouse and would consider moving to Vodafone. Anyone know how they compare?
