Just a quick reminder;

4 more teams have registered since my last post yesterday. Its just about full up for Irish teams but if you want to register a team you need to email stephen@pokerireland.ie before midnight on Sunday night.

I'll be at Electric Picnic all weekend so you might not get a response for a few days after that but you will get in if you book a team place before Sept 1st.

tho, you coulda started your own team, i know you have friends, well, at least 1

you could ask your employers if they are interested in putting in a team as a kind of promotion / advertising / merchandising thingy

It was a solid team at the last team event and now we added Wes and Jay who are playing some great stuff at the moment so its looking like a strong team.

Ohh i mean we're all brutal and playing crap so when the odds come out, we should be somewhere around the bottom end..good lad haha!

Hey,

The team event runs throughout the IPO main event (its basically a last longest bet between groups of players, from different casinos, countries and areas of Ireland).

All players have to be registered into the main event before Oct 1st before being eligible to enter the team event. Entry costs €300 + €30 reg per team and this can be paid on the day......$2,600 will be depositted between the winning teams Mermaid accounts as a bonus and 100% cash payout will be paid to the team captain either on Day 2 in the Jackpot or shortly thereafter.

No worries if anyone wants to withdraw a team due to being on the same team as another captain etc....The less teams the better value it is I suppose

One quick question, is it possible that more then one players in a team will be on the same table from the start? Indeed, could it happen that 1 team has 3/4 at a table while other teams dont? How can this be policed?

At the student tourny, only one per table. If you were being moved to a table that had one of your teammembers on it, we told the staff and you were moved elsewhere.

Yeah one team member per table for as far into the tourney as possible.

If team members don't alert us to a case where they are on the same table as team mates then there may be penalties but it works to your disadvantage to have a team member on your table if you are a decent player imo.

There will be plenty of betting available on the day Clamper, can you hold onto that money until then for me.

We will be betting in running on the main event and team event as far as I know (better ask my Dad).

Nicknames of players and all the rest if they are already registered if not Christian names will have to do.
ALL PLAYERS NEED TO BE REGISTERED INTO THE INTERNATIONAL POKER OPEN BY 1ST OCTOBER.

I'm going to leave the team event open to all European teams until 1st October as not that many have registered. Don't expect any more than 40 teams total involved in this which is pretty much on target as we just want this event to add a little spice to the tournament.
