Painting timber floors

    Anyone know the name of a "paint" or floor finish for a newly laid timber floor that gives a whiteish transparent milky look( ie the timber grain is visible) Or some method that gives this look. Thanks in advance

    White Oil, We did it on our pine flooring, Mix white pigment with jupex 45 oil and apply on to floor it stops the wood from darkening.
    I will try and post pics when I get a chance.
    You can make the floor quite pale but the grain will always show through.
    Seal it with hard wax and an electric buffer.
