    Hi Folks,

I am heading to this on Saturday. I have never been to one before. I think they are showing the Dub game.

Has anybody been to one of these before? Is it worth going?

    Cheers!

Sounds like a trap to me

I always wondered why they ran that thing in Coppers.

Coppers has always been a stronghold of the visiting GAAs fans.

Coppers has a bit of a rep for some anti Pale prejudice, whereby its harder for Dubs to get in. That said, if theyre advertising it as this its probably a way of saying that they, unlike most clubs, will be letting in people in jerseys who have been drinking since the afternoon.

As said, may be trouble, Mark Vaughan got his jaw broken by some visitors there last year iirc. Coppers is bollix anyway, though ya might have a bit of a laugh locked when they play Put Em Under Pressure, its the highlight of any night there (and Maniac 2000 of course :) ) Apart from that, its a load of bollix.

Is getting an invite fixed like their competitions 'allegedly' are?

i hate to say it but if you really were a "true blue" you'd be at the game.... or at least definitely not in coppers

although i suppose you can consider coppers to be the "true blue" pub considering win or lose the dublin team seem to end up there after matches

Don't be fooled by the meaning of True Blues.

It means wall to wall drunken, off duty Gardai groping student nurses and teachers.

you know the dublin team generally end up in Coppers after big matches, so I'd say that is the reason for the choice of venue!

98fm + Coppers = the square root of awful...

I know, Mammy told me if I didn't have anything good to say and all that, but still...
