my old dell has died, at the exact wrong moment. My Laptop just isn't cutting it so I need to build a pc sharpish.

    Want to spend about 1000-1100 - don't need monitor/kb/mouse

so initial spec below, I would appreciate recommendations/comments. I have sort of gone for components that are in stock now (dabs/komplett)

GFX: Sapphire Technology Radeon X1950 PRO 512MB GDDR3 PCIE Dual DVI 580/700 €136.63

    MEM:Corsair Memory TWIN2X2048-6400 2x1GB 240-Pin DIMM XMS2-6400 CL5 110.00

    Drives
Samsung DVD+-R/RW IDE LightScribe Black with Nero €28.53
    Samsung 500GB S300 16MB 7200RPM €185.25 (2)

Case:Antec P180 EU PC Case Performance One Series €108.67

Mobo: Gigabyte S775 Intel 965P ATX GLan 8CH Audio ATX €93.33

    CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 S775 2.66ghz 4mb Cache 1333FSB €177.57

    Power: Hiper Type-R 580W Black, Dual Fan, Silent 18db, 4xSATA, ATX, SLI, 20/24pin € 122.00

I want it for work (programming .Net) and games. It's going to run vista ultimate.

Get an Intel P35 chipset motherboard!

The CPU you are looking at is 1333Mhx FSB, the Intel P965/975 chipset only supports up to 1066Mhz FSB.

You need to repick the motherboard.
