Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

how to i connect to that tusky i have tvu

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 620 ✭✭✭NotWormBoy

This Bolton side is here to be routed - we should be trying to get the second and then some - our play after the goal has been a bit aimless really. Lucas doing well though, as is Arbeloa.

Kewell has some great skill. Really hope he can stay fit this time. Not sure about that long sleeve top he has on under his jersey though, surely they could have gotten him a jersey with sleeves.

Or he could stop being a girl. :) Long sleeve jersies should be banned. Be a man, it's only a bit of cold.

Should be one all. Big mix up between Reina and Carra. Anelka missed an open goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,048 ✭✭✭Unearthly

    :D

Reina, Carragher and Anelka for shame

Been coming a long time from young Torres

Cracking finish by Torres, great pass by Gerrard. Just what Rafa would want (not to mention my fantasy football team).

Crikey, The Spurs v Brum game has the same team strips. Got confused between stream and tv screen there for a second and thought we'd signed de riddler (or whatever his name is).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 564 ✭✭✭Skittlebrau

Hobbs on for Carra. Apparently he got a knock. It better not be serious.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,694 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

Hobbs on for Carra. Lets see what he's made of. No yellows mike

    Edit: beaten to it.

Didnt look too bad. He cantered off quickly enough anyway

saw torres goal - beautiful! not seen any of second half though, hows hobbs holding up? would be great to have him as a viable alternative.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,225 ✭✭✭Chardee MacDennis

sounds like torres is playing a stormer....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 564 ✭✭✭Skittlebrau

Babel on for Kewell. He's had a decent enough game.

Hobbs looks ok. Diouf had a free header but that's about all Bolton have created since he's come on. Difficult to rate him properly. We have the vast majority of possession.

Torres is playing very well. He's such a classy player.

Commentators saying that Carra took a knock to the ribs. He didn't look in pain though so hopefully he hasn't broken anything again.

Dude on 5 Live Sport, say he's had an x-ray and there's no damage, so all's good

Oh dear. Riise wasteful as ever.

Four. Babel followed in a Kuyt shot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,067 ✭✭✭✭Tusky

Great performance. Thats 21 goals in the last 4 games. We have the best defensive record in the premiership, best away record & the only team that has scored more goals is Arsenal(5 more).

Torres played really really well, as did Kewell and Gerrard who was again, involved in every goal. Babel looked good when he came on also.

The table as it stands -

    1 Arsenal 14 11 3 0 31 11 20 36
    2 Chelsea 15 9 4 2 22 9 13 31
    3 Liverpool 14 8 6 0 26 6 20 30
    4 Man. Utd. 14 9 3 2 23 7 16 30
    5 Man. City 15 9 3 3 19 15 4 30

[edit] Torres is joint top scorer in all comps with Ronaldo on 11 goals.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,263 ✭✭✭yom 1

Final score 4-0, Babel nearly made it 5 with one cleared off the line

No Crouch hat-trick? I thought we'd be gurenteed one if he started. :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

True, who would'vbe thought it! he also missed a free header from 6 yards out!

DROP CROUCH! KUYT IS KING! ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,247 ✭✭✭✭Guy:Incognito

Plus a goal and a clean sheet means that young finnish centre half has a great career stretching ahead of him as 1st choice with Carra.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

    ha ha ha ha! :D:D:D:D

Who was that English lad in the MIDDLE too? dictating all the play and being involved in all four goals, he didnt look like a half decent prospect!

    How did Hobbs do?

    Mike.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,247 ✭✭✭✭Guy:Incognito

On a serious note and speakign of centre halves. whens Agger back. Would probably be best, even if he is ok, to rest Carra against reading and play Sami with Agger/Hobbs. You just know he'll get booked if he plays (carra).

Yeah I'd play Hobbs & Hyypia against Reading. The risk of losing Carragher for the utd game is too big. Dont think Agger is back for a while...

physioroom - D Agger Metatarsal Fracture 8th Dec 07 very doubtful

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

I'd agree with that giving Carra a rest for the Reading game before the mancs too.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,396 ✭✭✭✭kaimera

So have we turned a corner then?

Still unbeaten in the league and scoring freely it seems now. Level on points with Utd with a game in hand. I'm still happy out thus far :)
