Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

huge inconcistancies with this ref, why was verias hands up there, he knew he was in the wrong straight away

Two good chances. Good penalty shout. More consistent momentum and pressure. Great workrate and effort. Now the end product...

STONE STONE COLD penalty denied!!!........

Well then that nearly makes up for the Inter sending off.

If liverpool don't score at least 2 they are out. They will get raped in Milan

Jesus, the lack of a decent crosser is shocking. The only player that seems able to find a Liverpool head wih a cross is Kuyt.

    Jesus so close!

One for the record books, Rafa making a substitution before 80th minute?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,407 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Taking off Lucas the right decision.

    Will they?
A lot of people said that we would get hammered tonight

That whole statement is now defenct. Any chance Liverpool had of being ableto get praise from onight is gone because the armchair pundits will just keep using the sending off as the reason.

Never heard anyone saying liverpool would get beaten well but only for that sending off i'd say Inter would have got into the match more and probably be a goal up

    Why?
They have showed absolutely nothing going forward and i dont think materazzi would have changed that. Cruz looked terrible before they went down to 10 men anyway

Yeah it really shows with their **** all attacks/shots on goal before the sending off, but that dont matter. If materazzi was still on the pitch he would of got a hat trick too.

Because they have better players 1-11 and they play together as a team better as you can see from there form in serie a.

Time will tell over the 2 legs.

Mascharano played well tonight, cant help but think hes only doing it to get himself in the shop window though

League form doesnt count in europe as you can see from our form in the premiership

Amm no he wouldn't but they would have 11 players and that especially makes a difference when you are playing away from home in the champions league.

I might be wrong but i don't think liverpool would cope aswell in the return league under the same circumstances

But you said they would probably be a goal up in this match, not just over two legs.
Their position in Serie A says more about Serie A, No?

I doubt i have ever seen a more stonewall penalty in my life lol. Viera actually stopped and said "****", and he still didnt give it!

One of the worst officiating displays ever imo. So inconsistant.

Anyone who says the sending off changed the game is wrong. It is so 100% clear that Inter came here for a 0-0. Materazzi on the pitch would be a bit better but they would only score if Liverpool scored.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,708 ✭✭✭Erin Go Brath

Given proper service Crouch will score before the end of this game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,407 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Great team performance from Inter. They have been immense in defense.

You serious??!? Of course it changed the game. Inter of course be in defensive mode but they would be getting forward a lot more. They would also have had two players up front for the match. How can a sending off not affect any team unless your playing U10's.

    Mmmmm......

Emm I'm very very far from a Liverpool fan I would have thought my username, avator or sig might have given that away.

    2-0
