Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    So close for torres's hatrick.

Yay 100 posts after nearly 4 years :)

So happy:) Finally got sopcast to work on a mac! Thanks for the link, great quality. Just connected to see Torres nearly get his hattrick and commentator to say that any team in the world would be happy to have Gerrard in midfield and Torres up front. Can't argue.

Got it running sopcast had it listed twice, loaded wrong one. Great work from Torres there (about 5 mins ago probably)

    Mike.

Reading back through the BBC text commentary, it appears that Kuyt got two assists for Torres's goals. That partnership seems to be working at the moment. ;)

yup kuyt put in 2 great crosses, lovely shuffle of feet to give himself a yard of space to put in the second right onto torres head unmarked in the box. I have to say, he's been really good in that WF role imo. As well as getting his pair of goals he's chipping in with tonnes of effort and assists as well. Himself and Babel offering different threats. Both off now for Yossi and Pennant.

So I'm 4 mins behind the action.

    Ouch!

tbh the Hammers are crap. They are doing what Curbs teams always do when they are safely in midtable.

Jesus, how many hat tricks has Torres scored for LFC this year? Never expected him to be this prolific!

would ya back him for another against the mighty Newcastle Saturday?? :D

For the record: Hat Tricks Versus Derby, Middlesborough and now West Ham, that right? *edit* my bad Derby is wrong, Reading was the other one!!

Great result, a good hiding is just what we needed to dish out to the hammers after them beating us in upton park.

Good game good game as Brucie would say. That foul thrown-in after some keystone Kop defending sort of summed up West Ham tonight I think.

glad I got a stream of that game.

Its weird - has Rafa hit upon the ideal formation/selection almost by chance?

    Mike.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,032 ✭✭✭✭GBX

Good performance ... 4 well taken goals. Hope we can continue this now and push on to guarantee 4th place.

Hope Masch gets over his dead leg by the weekend... or at least rest him for sat, bring in Lucas, and have him back for Inter.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 697 ✭✭✭oobydooby

Last 20 minutes or so we were excellent, just like at the start of the season. Have we finally hit top form despite all the background crap? Great timing if we have. Shame we're not closer to Arsenal in the league though:( We looked really good tonight and very easy on the eye too in the short bit I saw.

Give it another game or 2 before making such an assumption.

Good to see Babel starting games and not being anonymous.

Torres on 18 premiership goals for the season now... 1 behind adebayor and 3 behine ronaldo. We actually might have a 20+ goalscorer in our ranks this year!!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,904 ✭✭✭DeadSkin

How did Skrtle do tonight or did West Ham not offer much in attack?

I think Rafa's always wanted to play 4-5-1. It just didn't seem to be working in the PL so he played 4-4-2. The spine of the team tonight is wonderful, and this or 3-5-2 is the best way to accomodate Masch, Alonso and Gerrard. Lucas can slot in easily for cover/ ball-time too. Our 4-4-2 still didn't work in the PL though, but next season;)

It must be two successive Anfield hat tricks right? Since he didn't get one against Bolton.
