Agghh. 2 great pieces of play from Yossi already.

First set Gerrard up perfectly to run through on goal but he showed an awful awful touch.

Second, got into the box, cut back, slid it to Voro who shot straight at Howard.

At least we're attacking though, even if we should really be 1 up already.

why the christ, when somebody runs wide right to the byline, does nobody ever run front post? Has happened a few times this game, and each time, everyone is just standing unmmoving in the middle of the box, as the everton player on the front post just clears the ball away easily with no pressure. Nobody seems to want to attack the ball in there.

what im surprised with isn't what he started with, but why he hasnt changed.

To be fair the way they came out had Everton flummoxed, liverpool had 2 great chances, could have been 1 or 2 up before Everton rearranged and got back into the game. Once that happened, I have no idea why we didnt change around again with Gerrard wider and Voro fully up top.

Very little in it, Everton very fortunate to be 1 up. Liverpool have the same old problems of not having enough penetration apart from the first 10 minutes. Voronin & Kuyt just arent dangerous enough... Kuyt in paticular isnt having the best game.

Kuyt never has a good game. For all the running he does, he just isnt up to what we need. He's like Bellamy was, only without the attitude. We desperately need a Van Huntelaar type poacher up front with Torres

I take it you mean Klaas Jan Huntelaar? As good as a hybrid with Van Nistlerooy would be, dont think the technology is there just yet

van huntelaar, top player, so good we even know his name. watch him play all the time we do, he's the one we need. thats the answer.

in fact. we should buy all the players we hear people talk about in the pub. thats rafas problem, he doesnt spend enough time in the pub, he doesnt know the good players.

ah lads, in fairness, he clearly clearly has a tight grip on gerrards jersey, pulling, in the box, not putting in any form of a challenge, while last man back.

We're all well aware if you're the last man and you bring down the attacker its a red card. its a stupid rule because of being punished twice if its a pen, but its the rule none the less.

How does it matter if he started pulling outside the box once he kept on doing it in the box? whistle went in the box, thats all that matters.

Oh im not going to for a second suggest that Gerrard didnt act like a little girl and go down easy. Just as Saha did ealier in the season, and just as it seems is the fashion these days.

What im saying it, its clearly clearly a foul, in the box, with hibbert as last man, therefore Penalty + Red card.

As for him influencing the ref, it looks liek he just says "here ref, last man, pen, red."

Ah now he must've felt the shirt being pulled a good bit out. Didn't seem to be bothering him untill he got near the box and even still it looked like he started to fall outside it.
