My GF recently bought a Mazda 323, second hand, private sale.

We went to a dealer first and he had one that was waiting on an 'air intake regulator' or something like that, can't remember. He said that all Mazda 323's have this problem, and it makes the car sluggish when taking off.

When going from 1st to 2nd gear, it feels like I am going from 1st to 4th gear or something, big drop in revs. Car is fine otherwise.

Does anyone know anything about this?
