Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone picked this up yet? I don't know what to make of it, very strange (a phrase always found in close conjunction with Patton I admit) but not in the usual way. I can't say I'm a big fan of the native American style but it is certainly interesting. When Patton is quiet the music is really good but his vocals kind of ruin it. A shame because Tomahawk is one of my favourite Patton projects. However, I do think it's a grower (and I'm only on my second listen) so I reserve final judgement.

I've listened to it once, I didn't really like and neither did another Tomahawk/Patton fan I know. I'm not sure why they released this as Tomahawk tbh, considering his numerous other alter egos could have released it instead. I guess I was just expecting a straight up rock release (well, relatively speaking anyway!). I'll probably give it another shot at some point anyway.

I absolutely love it. When i first read that it was going to be Native American inspired, i thought it'd be a bit along the folk/metal lines since that's getting pretty popular.
But nope, not what i expected at all. I really like it, can't put my finger on quite what it is yet. But yeah, was really impressed by the whole album. :)

i'm a big patton fan, and love tomahawk because it's accessible but this album just doesn't sit. it's good as a patton album, but as a tomahawk album it completely desecrates the previous two albums and turns the whole project into a patton wànk-fest needlessly.

not exactly my favorite patton related album. it has som good songs such as red fox, sun dance and totem, but it's mostly a pure vanity project.

Actually, reading up on it, it was mainly Duane Denison's work on this album. So it's more of a Denison wankfest than a Patton one...

I guess patton is the star, so if it goes wrong he's at fault,
