Hi Everyone,

I am a 21 year ole female with one child, i dont know if im in the right section for this Q and sorry if i am, but does anyone out there know if you can claim the alone parent payment if your down as owning an appartment?? (Mortgage) i am an alone parent doh.

You should also apply for this One-parent family tax credit

If you have a dependent child and you are unmarried, widowed, separated, divorced, or deserted (that is, your spouse has left but you are neither separated nor divorced), then you can claim the One Parent Family Tax Credit of 1,760 euro in 2007. This is in addition to your normal personal tax credit.

You can apply for One-Parent Family payment at yor social welfare local office. Also enquire from your local community welfare officer in the HSE regarding mortgage interest supplement.

IS There any supplement for the childcare as well if i'm in full-time education?(3rd level)
