[REQ] Portable DVD player with long battery life

    Hi,

    I'm flying to LA in a few weeks with the kids and i'm looking for a portable DVD player with a longish battery life for a reasonable price. Any recommendations and i've 3 weeks to get it.

    Also, any body know if there is any way to charge these on Aer Lingus, anything on the arm rest???

    Would you consider picking up a cheap laptop instead, if you don't already have one??? Works fine as a DVD player, transatlantic flights should have power sockets under certain seats, and at the end of the day you have a shiny new computer....

    A video iPod or equivalent would be useful,

    Helped me out flying to San Francisco last year.
